Recital: Songs About Our Pets

Featuring Chelsie Propst, soprano, Amy Hartsough, mezzo-soprano, and Jennifer Hedstrom, piano, this unique concert will present mostly 20th century American art song with texts about our favorite furry friends. The program will also feature three world premieres by composers Jerry Hui, Thomas Lang, and Anthony Lanman. All three composers have generously donated their time and talents in the spirit of raising funds for Dane County Humane Society. The words and music presented will reflect the powerful impact our pets have on our lives. From the laughter they bring to the sadness we experience at their loss, come expecting a diverse musical program full of heart and humor alike.
